Communication intelligence for the flight deck

Every word in the cockpit, understood.

Voice is still the most critical and least digitised interface in aviation. Auvio turns ATC radio and crew communication into structured, checkable data. We start with debrief after flights and sim sessions, and build towards real-time support on the flight deck.

Vision

Aviation's last analogue interface

Aircraft, airspace and maintenance went digital decades ago. Voice did not.

Thousands of safety-critical exchanges happen every hour, and almost none of them are captured, measured or learned from. Auvio builds the layer that changes that.

Two channels, one layer

Outside the aircraft and inside the flight deck

Both channels are equally core to Auvio. Safe flying depends on each of them.

ATC communication

Radio between pilots and air traffic control.

  • Clearances and readbacks checked word by word
  • Frequencies, altitudes and callsigns captured
  • ICAO phraseology compared to standard

Crew communication

The conversation between the two pilots on the flight deck.

  • Standard callouts and responses in sequence
  • Checklist flow and cross-checks
  • PF/PM interaction made reviewable

Starting with training. Built for aviation.

Who is Auvio for

Unbranded twin-engine airliner on approach with landing gear extended

Airlines & operators

Type rating, recurrent and LOE/LOFT sim training, plus line operations insight for training and safety teams.

Air navigation service providers (ATC)

Readback and hearback errors seen from the other side of the frequency. Objective insight into pilot and controller exchanges for training and safety teams.

Why Auvio

What sets Auvio apart

Any fleet

Aircraft-agnostic. One solution across manufacturers, types and ages, with no aircraft integration required.

Built for aviation audio

Speech models tuned for VHF static, intercom, engine noise, accents and ICAO phraseology. Generic speech AI misses what matters here.

Your procedures

Checked against your own SOPs, checklists and callouts, not just the phraseology book.

See how

Private by design

Personal conversations between crew members are detected and discarded, never stored. See below.

The context layer

Your procedures, not just the phraseology book

Every operator flies differently. Auvio lets each customer load its own SOPs, checklists and callouts, on top of a standard ICAO and MCC baseline. Communication is checked against your procedures, so you see what matters for your operation.

Privacy and trust

In development

Built for trust on the flight deck

Pilots are people, and not everything said on the flight deck is operational. Auvio recognises non-operational conversation and discards its content immediately. No transcript or recording of it is ever kept.

Personal conversations stay personal

  • Detected, then discarded. Non-operational conversation is recognised and its content is deleted. Only an anonymous marker remains: when it happened, for how long, and in which phase of flight.
  • Sterile flight deck awareness. During critical phases of flight (taxi, take-off, approach, landing and below 10,000 ft), the flight deck should be sterile. If non-operational conversation happens there, Auvio logs a sterile flight deck event, without the content.
  • Operational focus only. Analysis covers ATC exchanges, callouts, checklists and crew coordination. Nothing else.

Your data stays yours

  • Recordings and transcripts are processed under a written data agreement with each customer.
  • Your SOPs and data are used to serve your organisation, never sold and never shared with other customers.
  • Built in Europe, with GDPR in mind from day one.

Complementary perspectives

From black box to daily insight

Existing tools either look back after an incident or sample a few flights. Auvio covers every session, starting with debrief and moving towards real time.

Roadmap

Where we're heading

  1. Now · Debrief

    In development

Every ATC exchange and crew callout reviewed after flights and sim sessions. Built with our founding flight training partners.

  2. Next · Fleet insight

    Planned

Trends across crews, routes and procedures for airline training and safety teams, checked against each operator's own SOPs.

  3. Later · Real time

    Vision

Live readback checks and callout monitoring on the flight deck, as a second set of ears for the crew.

Real-time use on the flight deck will follow the applicable aviation approval processes.

Data flywheel

Every reviewed transmission makes the model better. Partners who shape the data shape the product, and get the sharpest version first.

First market: flight training

Good communication starts on day one

R/T and crew communication are among the hardest skills for student pilots and among the hardest for schools to measure. Auvio is being built to help instructors review ATC exchanges and crew callouts after every sortie or sim session.

The problem today

  • Radio mistakes surface late: at checkrides or in busy airspace.
  • In MCC and type training, missed callouts and weak cross-checks are judged from memory, not from a record.
  • Feedback depends on what an instructor happened to notice.

What we're building with you

In development
  • Automatic debrief of every ATC exchange, with readback and phraseology checks.
  • Crew communication review for MCC and sim sessions: standard callouts, checklist flow, PF/PM interaction.
  • Progress tracking per student.

We're looking for two founding flight training partners.

Auvio is built by founders with a track record in applied AI, including a previous exit, and a lifelong connection to aviation.
